Overview

CardioVision ® MS-2000 automatically calculates Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) by measuring the blood pressure in the extremities with an oscillometric method. By measuring Arterial Stiffness Index (ASI) simultaneously with ABI, the condition of the arterial vessels can be diagnosed with higher accuracy.

Measurement item

Arterial stiffness index (ASI)
Systolic blood pressure
Diastolic blood pressure
Pulse pressure
Pulse rate
Ankle Brachial Index (ABI)

ABI Measurement

Wrap cuffs around all extremities of the patient, and measure the blood pressure in each extremity in the siting position. Each measurement will be completed in approximately 9 minutes, and ABI will be calculated automatically after measurements.

Framingham Risk Analysis

By entering lipid profile after ASI measurements, Framingham Risk (a patient’s 10-year risk of developing cardiovascular disease) can be determined, which helps in counseling patients on lifestyle-related diseases.
